Your monetary contributions allow us to purchase critical operational supplies, secure emergency resources, and fund the direct support needed to help families navigate out of homelessness.
Volunteer for Emergency Respite
We are looking for compassionate community members to help staff our emergency respite program for unhoused families at a local downtown Mesa church.

Shift Hours: 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM daily.

Flexible Shifts: You do not need to cover a full 12-hour block! Volunteers can sign up for any amount of time they are available during these hours.

Because we support vulnerable families, safety is our top priority. To volunteer, we ask for:

A clean background check (third-party platform fee: $45)*

A 2-hour online training course (flexible, self-paced, and modular)

*Note: Because 100% of AZ Hugs direct funds go straight to client shelter, food, and transportation, we’re unable to cover or subsidize third-party background check fees.

Shop Our Amazon Wish List
We rely on community-donated goods to keep our respite center fully stocked. You can purchase items directly from our Amazon Wish List to have them shipped straight to us. WISH LIST
